Melissa van Zyl married Arnold Dietstein on the 26th of February at one of the most romantic venues in the Cape, BELOFTEBOS. The bride was referred to us by one of her good friends Anneli Louw of whom we designed and crafted the Wedding Gown as well as the mother-of-the-bride ensemble! Melissa and Arnold wanted their special day to be fun filled, creative and extremely colourful!  The outcome was a Carnival themed wedding! For this Wedding Extravaganza MORE was MORE! The inspiration was a mixture of gypsy carnivals, theme parks and a glamorous touch of Cirque de Soleil!

Melissa being a wedding photographer herself, wanted her dress to be unconventional and as she described it: ‘I want a ‘Wedding’ Gown, without it being a WEDDING GOWN! A stunning dress with the WOW-factor, yet elegant enough to be worn by a PRINCESS!’ And that’s exactly what we planned on giving her! This one-of-a-kind gown was created from raw silk, gold lurex silk, Chantilly lace, lurex corded lace, gold mesh and bridal tulles! Most of the fabrics were hand dyed and painted to the specific colours needed! The result was a gorgeous couture gown Extraordinaire! But wait there’s more-Melissa’s gown had the best of both! It was the Princess dress for the ceremony and afterwards she removed the petticoat skirt and VOILA she had a flirty party dress to enjoy their wedding reception until the early morning hours!  We bet by now you want to know who was chosen to document this special day.
